Flora Europaea the original Linnean specimens perennial, H, 2n=14, diploid mesic, from the forest-steppe up to the lower nemoral Central European-Mediterranean Origanetalia, Quercetalia pubescenti-petreae, Arrhenatheretalia R38, R41 (lower nemoral)         A sporadic species in mesic grasslands.
